Syrian Reconciliation

At Silent Syrian Group, we are dedicated to supporting the reconciliation of the Syrian people through our various initiatives. We are always striving to make a difference.

Reconciliation can happen alone or it can happen with others. It can happen when millions of people do something together. Reconciliation holds the promise of an end to violence and a new beginning. It may augur added reverence for human rights, for the respect for the rule of law, and respect for one another, a culture in which individual and group differences are worked out through dialogue and friendship rather than conflict and strife.

Syrian Reconstruction

When the time comes, new approaches to economic reconstruction are needed in Syria. Planning is crucial, because it compels political as well as technocratic actors to identify needs and priorities and to develop the skills and resources that will be necessary for such a momentous task.

“While the short-term outlook remains ‘cautiously pessimistic’, there is an opportunity to start addressing the main source of the slowdown—the civil war in Syria—by an inclusive reconstruction strategy,” said Shanta Devarajan, World Bank Chief Economist of the MENA Region.
